Note about a data protection incident according to Art. 34 GDPR
Despite extensive security measures, an attack and subsequent short-term access to our IT systems could not be prevented. We regret that very much.

Which data and systems are affected? What consequences can be expected?

Customer master data and contact details about you/your company could be affected due to unauthorized access. It cannot be ruled out that this data will be used on the Internet to the detriment of the persons concerned or will be made accessible to third parties.

What measures have been taken or proposed?
Existing security measures were reviewed and immediately tightened (Advanced VPN, XDR).
The responsible data protection supervisory authority was informed of the incident in a timely manner.
A criminal complaint was filed with the responsible authority (Central Cybercrime Contact Point of the Berlin State Criminal Police Office).
The clarification is carried out in close cooperation with our data protection official, the company Wiemer/Arndt UG (limited liability), Marienstr. 25, 10117 Berlin.

This is what you should pay attention to now:
Attackers could use the information they may have obtained from you, such as email addresses, to trick you into scams, so you should be careful of unauthorized, excessive, and dubious advertisements or job offers in your inbox.

Further general information and recommendations for action on data security can be found on the websites of the Federal Office for Security and Information Technology and the Federal Criminal Police Office.

We are continuing to work hard to further clarify the case.
If new details about the incident are provided, we will update this information immediately.

The present case, the protection of your data and direct and transparent communication are our top priority.
If you have any questions and/or comments, our data protection officer and our IT security department are at your disposal at dsb@feuerherdt.de.
